Taking part in the study

This page gives details on how to get involved in the study.

 1. Come to a drop in session with the researchers 

The study team will have regular drop in sessions, held at the Dockland Centre, where you can ask the researchers any questions about the study, or what it involves. In February 2023, the drop in sessions are on:   

  • February 1, 2023 (6.30-8.30pm);
  • February 6 (4.30-6.30pm);
  • February 7 (5.30-7.30pm);
  • February 8 (6.30-8.30pm).

If you have any questions about the drop ins, or can’t make these dates, please contact us.

2.  Information sheets for young people

If you would like to take part in the study, we will need to have written consent for you to do so. If you are over 16 – you can consent to take part yourself, however, if you are under 16 – we also need to have your parents or carers written consent (as well as your agreement or ‘assent’). Please email or call us and we will be able to send consent forms to you. You can also drop into the Docklands Centre and pick up the consent forms there.  

 3. Information for parents and carers

To find out more about what is involved in taking part in the study, you can download the parent information sheets below. You can also ask at Docklands Centre for a paper copy of this information sheet.  If you would like to complete the consent form so that your child can take part in the study, please email or call us and we will be able to send consent forms to you. You can also drop into the Docklands Centre and pick up a consent form from there.
